About
1919 Emergency Relief for Families in Need

In the year of 2002 tens of thousands of families became “New Poverty” in Taiwan. These new poor families include those who lost their jobs or families that met with accidents. Due to the inflexibility of the social welfare system, these families were excluded by any form of legal assistance.

Therefore, CCRA established the 1919 emergency service network in 2003. As of 1/2024, over 16,167 families in distress have received care and emergency relief funds (typical award amount is NT$5,500 for 4 months [total: NT$22,000]).
